Every year I do this race. Every year I tell myself this is the one I break 100 minutes.

24 seconds away this time. Progress, I suppose.

See you next year, sub-100.

A client rang me Friday afternoon.

Needed engineers for Monday.

It was the 5th time in less than 3 months. 5th time I delivered.

Different engineer pairs every single time.

That’s what we do.

But here’s the truth. Summer is coming. Labour is tightening.

First full month. With a new client.

5 engineers placed.

20+ days each on site.

No dramas. No drop-outs. No chasing.

Every one of them has turned up consistently got on with it, and delivered.

That’s what we built Aboveboard Group for.

We placed an engineer on a job a few weeks back. Did the work, no issues.

A new job came in from a different client. When we got the brief, the engineer they were asking for by name, was already ours.

They’d crossed paths on site. Liked what they saw. Didn’t even know he came through us.

That’s what happens when you send out people who are actually good.

The sun came out today and it got me thinking…

Every year it’s the same story. The warm weather hits, the phones start ringing and suddenly everyone needs aircon engineers yesterday.

This week we’ve started on a new price work job for a client that originally came through Michaela Samet and our day rate side.

Not the first client to use both services, but the first to come through the agency side and move into price.

Aboveboard started as an AC subcontractor, and that’s exactly what we’re continuing to build.

Whether it’s day rate engineers or full price work, we’re here to help other air con companies get jobs done properly.

100% fill rate.

Since launching Aboveboard On-Demand last year, we’ve seen rapid growth focusing purely on temp AC labour. We’ve now got around 30 engineers out on site, before summer’s even kicked off.

The WhatsApp group has been key. Started it from scratch, now pushing 950 AC engineers and nearly maxed out..

Not a single job missed, and a lot of happy clients.

Some have been challenging - Scotland, Germany, but we always get it covered.

Late Monday after hours a client called needing an AC pair to start the next morning for a 6-week period. Our engineers were on site first thing.

That quick turnaround is exactly what you get with the reliable engineers we’ve worked with for years, plus our own in-house teams.

Projects keep coming in from existing and new clients via recommendations from both engineers and customers. This week alone I secured six projects — flawless delivery, positive feedback, and clients asking to keep the same teams for future work.

Spoke to an engineer earlier about one of our live roles.

First thing he said:

"Are you the director? Aboveboard are everywhere. That’s all I’ve seen the last few months."

That told me everything.

Over the last 2 weeks alone we’ve put 15+ live opportunities out to our network.

We’re growing fast because we offer what others can’t.
